Tell us about the career development, skill development and training opportunities you have received at Northern Trust?
I joined Northern Trust as an Analyst for Transfer Agency (TA). There was a lot to learn and the in-house training and the support helped me build my knowledge and profile within TA.
I’m a very curious person by nature and love to learn new things and experiment with how we can do things differently. My managers understood that and gave me the freedom to explore.
Eventually, when I wanted to try for a training role, they gave me a platform to try it on a secondment basis, and then when I knew this is what I wanted to do, I was given the opportunity to move from an operations role to a full-time training role.
My learning never stopped throughout my career here. Even now, as a trainer with multiple years of training experience, there is so much still to learn. I’m grateful for all the platforms that are available in Northern Trust, to help me grow as a professional and a person, like mentorship programmes, in-house training, vendor training and options to attend conferences and so on.
