EXPERTISE

Kia Oboudiyat is the Chief Strategy Officer of Global Foreign Exchange (GFX) at Northern Trust.

Kia sets and drives organizational and product strategy alongside the Global Head of GFX and the Capital Markets Leadership Team. He translates strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth, and is responsible for execution and delivery. Kia also works directly with clients and on FX product innovation across Northern’s Currency Management, Complete FX™, Custody FX, Direct FX and eFX solutions.

EXPERIENCE

Kia joined Northern Trust in 2014 and has worked in Northern Trust’s Chicago, London and Sydney offices. Kia previously built and led the Northern Trust’s Foreign Exchange Sales business for Asia Pacific, and has over 15 years’ experience across FX and capital markets. 

Prior to joining Northern Trust, Kia worked in Sydney, New York and Miami for Macquarie, holding various product and business development positions in the institutional brokerage, equity arbitrage and credit trading businesses with a focus on FX and emerging markets.

EDUCATION

Kia holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance together with a Bachelor's of Law from Macquarie University.
