Shaun M. Flavin

Shaun Flavin is the North American Head of Business Development for the Institutional Investor Group at Northern Trust. Shaun is responsible for managing a diverse institutional sales team located throughout the United States and Canada, covering the Public Fund, Taft-Hartley, Not-For-Profit, Large Corporate, Multinational, and Middle Market segments. Shaun joined Northern Trust in 2017.

Shaun has more than 25 years of experience in serving the needs of institutional investors. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Shaun spent 16 years at the Bank of New York Mellon Corporation where he served in a variety of management and lead business development roles. Most recently, Shaun was a Director at Mellon Capital Management, a multi-asset investment subsidiary of BNY Mellon Investment Management, responsible for managing the firm’s relationships with its largest, most complex investment management clients. Before that, Shaun was the National Sales Manager for Mellon Global Securities Services, the asset servicing business of the legacy Mellon Financial Corporation. Shaun began his career at State Street Corporation, where for 14 years he held a wide range of roles encompassing business development, marketing, management and operations.
