Steph Wagner is a nationally recognized leader in women’s wealth and financial empowerment. As National Director of Women & Wealth at Northern Trust, she leads the firm’s advisory practice for women and its Elevating Women platform — a nationwide program dedicated to financial literacy and helping women maximize the impact of their wealth for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Her journey — from private equity executive to stay-at-home mom to single mother facing financial uncertainty — fuels her passion for educating and empowering women to take control of their wealth.

Before Northern Trust, Steph co-founded Sendero Women & Wealth, built a national consulting practice advising high-net-worth women navigating divorce or widowhood, and founded WomenWealthyWise, helping wealth management firms strengthen their women’s initiatives. Earlier in her career, she was Vice President at Gemini Investors, a Boston-based private equity firm.

A sought-after thought leader, her insights have been featured in Entrepreneur, MarketWatch, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Fox News, Yahoo Finance, Barron’s, Bloomberg, and Kiplinger.

Steph is a graduate of the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, current board member for Texas Advocacy Project, former governor-appointed trustee of the Texas Emergency Services Retirement System and former Board President and member of Center for Community Solutions, which serves survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
