EXPERTISE

Phil Garrett is responsible for client servicing and business development across Asia Pacific for Northern Trust’s securities lending and borrowing, financing, liquidity and collateral business. This includes relationships with a number of global complex clients such as government, sovereign and central bank entities, and also with pension funds, insurance companies and investment managers across Asia and Australia.

EXPERIENCE

Phil has more than 20 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Phil established a successful consultancy, Tir na nOg, with a client base spanning Tier 1 Superfunds.  His previous roles included Head of Securities Finance in Australia and New Zealand, Head of Finance and Business Development at UBS in Singapore, Head of Money Markets and Secured Funding for Barclays in Hong Kong and Citi trading Commercial Paper in London.
