Areej A. Almokbel

Areej is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Middle East and Africa. As COO, Areej manages the operational framework and runs the business transformation projects and market new initiatives, with a prime objective of implementing a robust and efficient operating model; to meet the clients demands and to help the business to grow.

Areej has over 20 years of extensive experience in Asset Management, Asset Servicing and Information Technology during her time with the Saudi British Bank (SABB) and HSBC Saudi Arabia. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Areej was the Chief Operating Officer of Asset Management at HSBC Saudi Arabia. Areej holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer and Information Science with Second Class Honour from King Saud University.
