Jareer Abdulbaqi is an Advisor at the Ministry of Economy and Planning in Saudi Arabia.

Prior to joining the Ministry, Jareer was a Senior Consultant at the Center for Strategic Development “CSD”.  The CSD is a quasi-governmental organization researching socio-economic development, public policy, and long-term planning related to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  

Before joining the public sector, Jareer was a Senior Director at Al Rajhi Holdings a single-platform family office with presence in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, focusing on private equity and real estate investments. 

Jareer started his career as a financial analyst at Saudi Aramco.  He later assumed the role of head of the Portfolio Management group, where he was responsible for several aspects of Saudi Aramco’s pension plans and the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) endowment. 

Jareer earned a BSc in Finance from Virginia Tech in the USA and an MBA degree from London Business School in the UK.
