James Wright is Executive Vice President and head of Asset Owners, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). 

With over 35 years of experience in the asset servicing industry, James is a member of Northern Trust’s EMEA Executive Management Committee and sits on the Bank’s Saudi  Board.  He is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) in the UK.

James has significant experience in managing sophisticated, multi-jurisdictional  client relationships, and has a proven track record in running large, multi-disciplinary teams across a wide range of business areas ranging from operations management through to business integrations. 

Prior to joining Northern Trust in 2016, James spent 29 years at JP Morgan where he held a variety of leadership roles in its Investor Services Division, latterly with responsibility for major global asset management  relationships with highly complex service models. Prior to this he ran JP Morgan’s Investment Outsourcing and International Funds businesses, and his international career has included management roles in Australia and Asia.
