David C. Blowers is Vice Chairman of Northern Trust, a leading provider of wealth management, asset serving, asset management and banking services for corporations, institutions, families and individuals.

Dave joined Northern Trust in 1982 and has broad leadership experience in both the institutional and private wealth sides of the business. He has served as President of Wealth Management’s East and Central Regions as well as EMEA and the Eastern Region of the United States for Asset Servicing. He also served as Deputy General Manager of the Hong Kong Branch. Dave has extensive international experience, and over the course of his career, has taken on posts in London, Hong Kong and New York. He also serves as a director of Northern Trust Securities, Inc.

Dave earned a B.A. degree in government from Lawrence University and an MBA with a concentration in finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

He serves as Board Chair of WTTW/WFMT, Chicago’s Public Television Station, and is a member of the boards of United Way of Metropolitan Chicago and Lawrence University. He has also held leadership positions at several nonprofit organizations, most notably American Ballet Theatre, Harris Theater for Music and Dance, and the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. Dave is a member of the Fellows Association of Leadership Greater Chicago, The Economic Club of Chicago, The Chicago Club, Exmoor Country Club and Royal Poinciana Golf Club.

Dave and his wife, Luann, live in the Chicago suburbs, and they have three grown children.
