Kathleen Dials

Kathleen Dials is the Head of Asset Servicing for Global Family & Private Investment Offices. Kathleen manages several teams that include the Account Managers, Business Process Analysts and Account Relationship Associates. In this role, she is responsible for managing a variety of initiatives, processes and strategies all of which optimize the client experience. Prior to this role, Kathy led the Alternative Asset Services practice, which supports the complete lifecycle for the full range of market value driven and unitized alternative asset types, such as limited partnerships, venture capital, real estate, leverage buyouts, syndicated bank loans and hedge funds.

From September 2016 to May 2018, Kathy was responsible for the Client Valuation Reporting Practice, which audits and delivers the periodic accounting and financial reporting for custody clients globally. In 2014, Kathy relocated to Northern Trust’s Melbourne office where she was Head of Operations and Technology, Australia. In this role, she led the Operations & Technology team locally and evolved our global operating model to meet the needs of clients in Australia and New Zealand. Kathy also served on the Melbourne Executive team, helping to shape the strategy of the branch. Prior to 2014, Kathy held several leadership roles in Operations since starting her career with Northern Trust in 1996. Between 2011 and 2014, she was the Global Head of Transition Services, where she ensured clients were supported throughout a variety of complex transitional activities. She also led the Income Collections division between 2007 and 2011. In this role, Kathy was responsible for leading a global team that accrued, collected and reconciled income across client accounts. Kathy also held several other roles within Northern Trust, including Staff Auditor in Internal Audit, Financial Analyst in C&IS Finance, and Business Analyst in Operations.

Kathy earned a B.S. in Finance from Northern Illinois University and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Management & Strategy from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
