Steve Todd is the leader of the Commercial Real Estate practice and is a Senior Vice President in Northern Trust’s Los Angeles office. Northern Trust’s national real estate portfolio is valued in excess of $2.5 billion and encompasses approximately 1,600 real estate interests that are owned by family offices, institutional investors, and various types of trusts and investment entities.

Steve oversees a team of eight individuals performing hands-on asset management of hundreds of direct-owned real estate investments as well as advising Northern Trust’s clients on real estate investing strategies, acquisitions, dispositions and financing transactions. Over the course of his career in commercial real estate investing and asset management, he has completed transactions involving more than 8.5 million square feet of property with a value of more than $2.7 billion.

A Los Angeles area native, Steve earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Southern California. He holds the designation of LEED® Accredited Professional through the U.S. Green Building Council and is a member of the National Trust Real Estate Association.

Steve is active in the community, having served on numerous boards, committees and leadership roles at local nonprofits.
