Practice Executive, Asset Owners, Americas

Chris is responsible for the Insurance Solutions, Self-Managed Asset Owner (SMAO), Large Corporate West, and Correspondent Trust Services business segments within the Asset Owners Americas division at Northern Trust. Chris leads all aspects of Northern Trust’s relationships within these business segments, inclusive of all corporate asset bases, as well as their defined benefit and defined contribution plans.

Before assuming this role, Chris served as the Global Head of Relationship Management for Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services (HFS). Chris was primarily responsible for overseeing all relationship management and client service activity for HFS, providing oversight for the relationship management staff and serving in a consultative/advocacy role to evaluate, strengthen, and grow client relationships.

Chris brings a substantial base of operations and investment expertise to his work. Before the establishment of HFS (via the acquisition of the Omnium LLC from Citadel), Chris worked for Citadel as Vice President of Global Fixed Income for four years and then transitioned into the Relationship Management segment when Omnium LLC was established in 2007. Chris became Head of Relationship Management in 2009 and joined HFS' Management Team until the acquisition of Omnium by Northern Trust. Previous to Citadel, Chris held a series of progressively senior management and operations roles over eleven years with CNA Insurance, including four years as a Portfolio Manager with their short-term desk, and culminating in his role as Director of Securities Operations.

Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting from Loyola University Chicago, as well as an M.B.A. in Finance from DePaul University’s Graduate School of Business.

Chris is a Certified Public Accountant and an active member of numerous industry organizations, including the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA), the Managed Funds Association (MFA), and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA).
