Steve Locke is a Executive Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, his organization ensures the confidentiality, availability, integrity and resiliency of Northern Trust Information Technology.

Steve has extensive experience with Global Information Security and Technology Risk Management. Finally, Steve provides Cyber Advisory Services for US$1B+ wealth management clients, fund/corporate boards, and executives.

Prior to joining Northern Trust in 1996, he was a corporate strategist at Baxter International and a financial analyst at Time Warner Inc.

Steve received a B.A. degree in Information Technology Management from DePaul University. Steve is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Steve is a member of the Secret Service Electronic Crimes Taskforce and FBI Infragard Program with Secret Clearance. He is also a member of BITS, the technology policy division of the Financial Services Roundtable and the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center.
