Mike manages a full set of investment accounts, generally for large and sensitive personal trust relationships, individual investors and foundations. He operates within the framework of the underlying trust document, developing strategies designed to achieve specific investor goals. Mike specializes in investment management, asset allocation strategies, manager selection, alternative investments and risk management.

Experience

Mike has over 35 years of investment experience. Prior to joining Northern Trust he was the Chief Investment Officer for a Bellevue WA based investment advisor. In his role as CIO, he was responsible for managing $4 billion in assets and lead the investment team in traditional and non-traditional global manager research and selection, asset allocation and risk management.

Community Involvement

Mike serves on the Board of Directors of PROVAIL as their Treasurer. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Summit Assistance Dogs. Mike and his wife, Sally, are service dog foster parents.
