Dane Fannin

Dane Fannin is Senior Vice President and Head of Capital Markets Asia-Pacific at The Northern Trust Company in Hong Kong. He is responsible for brokerage, securities lending and transition management services, managing partners located in Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney. Dane’s role includes a mandate to pursue the strategic alignment, growth and development of these capabilities within the Asia Pacific region. In addition, Dane maintains responsibility for securities lending trading in Asia.

Dane is an executive member of The Pan Asian Securities Lending Association (PASLA).

Dane was previously Head of Securities Lending in Asia-Pacific where he was responsible for managing trading, product and operations in Hong Kong, and served as a senior representative for key regional client relationships, assisting the client team in meeting their growth and servicing goals.

Dane joined Northern Trust in 2006 where he started his career in securities lending based in London.

Dane holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics, Business Management and Information Systems (2004), as well as an Honors degree in Business Management (2005), both from Rhodes University in South Africa.
