Johan Hasselblad

Johan joined Northern Trust Asset Management in August 2024 as Senior Sales Executive for the Nordics, confirming our strong commitment in the region and building on recent success. Johan represents NTAM in the region for new business, together with relationship manager Sara Lorenz for existing business. We work very closely with our colleagues in the wider EMEA and International teams in order to offer access to our global thought leadership and capabilities.

Johan brings experience from a long career in various institutional sales-roles, spanning from capital markets and fixed income to asset management and private credit. He has also held the role as Head of Sustainability for a boutique asset manager, meaning he has hands on experience in the tasks and challenges around implementation and regulation. He also brings a keen interest in economics and central banks, asset allocation, and equity markets.

We look to partner with our clients to facilitate a dynamic relationship designed to meet the needs of today and tomorrow. We engage in customization and co-creation to find solutions tailored to a wide range of investment objectives. We have a strong heritage in index investing which serves as a solid foundation in modern asset management, where more and more clients discover the benefits of a passive but well managed investment philosophy. From this foundation, we are investing heavily in, and building out, our quant active and systematic capabilities in EMEA where we have rapidly reached a position of true strength. ESG and sustainability is an integrated part of what we do, with a range from standard or tailored exclusion lists, portfolio decarbonization and biodiversity, as well as SDG integration.
