Prior to his current role, John worked as a Personal Trust Relationship Manager in the Personal Client Services group and before that, as an Associate Relationship Manager in the Wealth Advisory group.
John received a B.A. in Economics from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. He completed the American Bankers Association National Trust School in 2008 and is currently enrolled in Northern's internal Trust School, a training program focused on fiduciary and trust activities, financial planning, tax law and planning, investment management and ethics.
John was promoted to Officer in 2009, Second Vice President in 2011 , Vice President in 2015 and has worked at Northern Trust over 10 years.
Outside of the office John enjoys golfing, attending sporting events, live music and running with his dog, Millie.
He serves as a Trust Advisor and Relationship Manager in the Wealth Advisory segment of Wealth Management. In addition to meeting and communicating with clients, John is responsible for the administration of large, complex trusts for individuals and families, as well as qualified retirement funds and investment management accounts. John is familiar with fiduciary standards and principals, as well as applicable laws and regulations and also coordinates related account matters pertaining to fiduciary income tax and investments.
John is involved with the annual United Way Campaign at the bank.
