Scott Charlton

Head of Client Development, GFO APAC

Scott is the Head of Client Development for Northern Trust’s Global Family and Private Investment Offices (GFO) business in Asia-Pacific (APAC).

Based in Singapore, Scott serves as a member of the region’s GFO Leadership team and is responsible for the growth and development of the GFO business across APAC.

Northern Trust’s GFO business harnesses enterprise wide resources to provide an unparalleled combination of service and expertise to families, family offices, private trust companies, and private investment companies. With teams based in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, GFO delivers customized asset servicing, investment, technology, fiduciary, banking, and advisory solutions to its clients.

Scott has had many roles with Northern Trust over his 12+ year career, spending most of his time servicing Northern Trust’s family office clients. Most recently, Scott served as Director of Client Development for GFO, with responsibility for client and advisor development across the Southeast region of the United States. He has also led client relationships as a Relationship Manager to a select group of U.S. and international families and family offices. Prior to  this, Scott worked as a Senior Business Strategy Analyst in the Fiduciary Practice.

Scott earned an MBA from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and a BS from Indiana University. Scott obtained his Certified Financial Planner designation in 2015 and his STEP Certificate in International Trust Management in 2017.
