Valerie Trottier is a Senior Managing Director leading the Foundation & Institutional Advisors practice for the West Region. She began her career in the industry with Northern Trust in 1987 and has continually focused on specialized investment solutions, advisory services, fiduciary best practices and asset servicing for nonprofits, foundations, tax-exempt entities, and retirement and benefit plan trusts.

Valerie holds a B.S. degree in business marketing from Oklahoma State University and the professional designation of CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds the designation of CRSP (Certified Retirement Services Professional) from the Institute of Certified Bankers. She is an active member and past President of the Phoenix Chapter of the Western Pension and Benefits Conference, and a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.

Her volunteer efforts and support of the local community throughout her career include board and committee service, participation and membership with many nonprofit organizations such as Soroptimist International of Phoenix, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central & Northern Arizona, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, United Methodist Outreach Ministries, Labors Community Service Agency, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Homeward Bound and Arizona Cactus-Pine Girl Scouts Council.
