Fredric W. McClendon is a Senior Vice President and Head of Banking for Global Family & Private Investment Offices at The Northern Trust Company, Chicago. As the banking practice executive, Fred is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of the banking relationships within GF&PIO. Before joining GF&PIO, he was a Division Manager in Corporate and Institutional Services Not For Profit segment where he managed a team of Custody Client Executives and Banking Relationship Managers working with healthcare systems, higher education, and foundations. In his prior role as a Senior Relationship Manager, Fred was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the institutional relationship, including credit.
Fred joined Northern Trust in 1998 in the Middle Market Client Group focusing on commercial credit and business development. He also held the role of Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager in Private Banking/Legal Division within Wealth Management. Prior to re-joining Northern Trust in 2010, Fred was a Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Private Wealth Management. Fred began his banking career in 1987 and spent 11 years at Bank of America (Continental Bank) as a Vice President in Commercial Lending and various other positions. He began his professional career as an Accountant with Briggs & Stratton Corporation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Fredric McClendon received a B.S. degree in Accounting from Marquette University in 1985.
Fredric is on the Board of Easterseals Chicago/Rockford and serves as the Vice Chairman of the Finance Committee. He is also Board Trustee and Finance Committee member for Alcuin Montessori School and an active Board Member of Beyond Hunger.
